I have been passionately involved in human health for more than a decade with supplementation and preventative protocols for myself, my family and friends. For years I have scanned scientific research papers for health benefits from plant extracts, new and novel vitamins and amino acids for longevity, disease mitigation, energy and mobility. I have trialed, formulated and reaped benefits from many such active compounds.
I am very active and ride bicycles at a competitive level defying my chronological age of over 60 years. Keeping this up requires knowledge and commitment to nutrients, supplementation and of course exercise.
Knowing that many animal drugs and supplements start off as human medications (because there is far more money invested in human drug research) has led me to apply my knowledge to benefiting dog health as I have an 11-year-old standard poodle. I am determined that Roxy lives actively and disease free in her old age. She is an amazing example of what an old dog can be. She chases her ball and jumps for it now, just as she has always done!
For 2 years I had been adding many different active ingredients and extracts to Roxy’s food.
